Discover Asian Taste Thai Restaurant

Asian Taste Thai Restaurant is one of those hidden gems in Lincoln, NE, that instantly transports you to the bustling streets of Thailand. Nestled at 501 W A St #102, the cozy atmosphere instantly sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. Walking in, the aroma of fresh lemongrass and sizzling spices hits you, and you know right away that this isn’t just another takeout spot. On my first visit, I was greeted warmly by the staff, who seemed genuinely excited to share their favorite dishes, and that level of personal attention made the experience feel special.

The menu here is a delightful mix of traditional Thai classics and chef-inspired creations. From pad thai to green curry, each dish is prepared with authentic ingredients that are hard to find outside Thailand. One evening, I decided to try the Tom Yum soup, and it arrived perfectly balanced with a hint of heat, fresh cilantro, and succulent shrimp. According to research on flavor pairings in Southeast Asian cuisine, combining sour, salty, sweet, and spicy elements-like those in Tom Yum-enhances both aroma and taste perception, which explains why the soup left such a lasting impression.

Another standout dish is the Panang curry, made with creamy coconut milk and tender slices of beef. I’ve noticed that many diners at Asian Taste Thai Restaurant return specifically for this dish because it manages to be both comforting and bold at the same time. The chefs follow a meticulous preparation process, from roasting spices to slow-cooking the curry paste, which ensures that every plate is bursting with flavor. It’s that attention to detail that demonstrates the staff’s expertise in Thai culinary techniques.

Service here is as impressive as the food. I observed the team handling a fully packed dining room with ease, ensuring that every table received attention without feeling rushed. They also offer helpful recommendations for those who may be new to Thai cuisine, which is perfect for anyone feeling unsure about navigating the menu. In fact, a recent customer review highlighted how the staff guided them through pairing dishes with the perfect level of spice, which elevated their dining experience.

The ambiance adds another layer to the visit. With tasteful decorations, soft lighting, and the occasional Thai music playing in the background, it’s clear that the owners care about creating an immersive environment. On multiple visits, I’ve noticed that the restaurant manages to feel lively yet intimate-a rare balance that contributes significantly to customer satisfaction.

For those looking to explore the full menu, Asian Taste Thai Restaurant offers a wide variety of options that cater to both meat lovers and vegetarians. Dishes like vegetable spring rolls, Pad See Ew, and mango sticky rice showcase the diversity of Thai cuisine and highlight the kitchen’s dedication to quality ingredients. According to the USDA, fresh herbs and vegetables not only enhance taste but also contribute to better nutrient retention in cooked dishes, which aligns with the restaurant’s emphasis on freshness.

Its location in Lincoln makes it easily accessible, and the positive feedback from the local community reflects a strong trust in their offerings. On weekends, the place tends to fill up quickly, which is a testament to its reputation for both flavor and consistency. Personally, I’ve recommended Asian Taste Thai Restaurant to friends visiting the city, and every single person came back raving about their meal, citing both the authenticity and the friendly service.

Beyond just a meal, dining here feels like stepping into a well-curated cultural experience. The chefs’ expertise, the staff’s attentive service, and the restaurant’s inviting atmosphere combine to make each visit memorable. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick lunch, celebrating a special occasion, or exploring Thai cuisine for the first time, this location at 501 W A St #102 in Lincoln delivers an experience that resonates long after you leave.

  • This is my favorite Thai restaurant in Lincoln. The food is always amazing. Whatever dish you choose, you will leave satisfied and happy. I highly recommend the tom kha, pad thai, drunken noodles, and pad see ew. The Thai ice tea, papaya salad, and curries are lovely as well. Their tom kha is one of my favorite foods in all of Nebraska.

  • Genuinely one of the most authentic and delicious Thai restaurants that I've ever been to! I was passing through the city during a road trip, and it was such a pleasant surprise to find such a hidden gem in the middle of Nebraska. The restaurant really doesn't look like much, but don't let the run-down exterior and slightly sketchy neighboring gas station scare you away. The service is absolutely incredible; our server was incredibly kind, warm, welcoming, and helpful, and she was super helpful with answering our questions and accommodating my dietary restrictions. And the food...wow. Truly some of the best papaya salad and tom yum that I've ever had in my life. My parents thoroughly enjoyed the pad thai and pad woon sen, although the dishes were a little too salty for their taste. One thing I will note, though, is that Asian Taste's spice levels are pretty legitimate (this is definitely a spice level scale catered toward a Thai person's taste buds)...their "spicy" level is actually quite hot, so definitely be prepared for the dishes to bring on the heat. All in all, Asian Taste was (shockingly) one of the highlights of my trip to Lincoln, and if I ever find myself in the city again, I will definitely drop by again.

  • Food is really good here. Staff is friendly. Price to food ratio is a good value. Interior decoration/atmosphere is pretty plain but, i came because the food looked good. Music being played are all pretty well known upbeat songs. Spices are brought out on the side if you're not sure how spicy you want it. Definitely will be coming back to try other dishes.

  • Asian Taste Thai Restaurant makes spectacularly good food. I was craving Thai curry and they brought me the best beef panang curry (with peanuts at my request) I've ever had. The pumpkin was a great addition, can't recommend it enough. The vegetable tempura was crisp and cooked just right. The sticky mango rice was lightly sweet and refreshing, letting the sweet mango be the star of the show. Service was fast and courteous with no language barrier. The only criticism I really have is the atmosphere. This restaurant was clearly some other kind of business once so the dining area is broken into multiple oddly shaped spaces. Decor is minimal. The place is clean and well lit though. My opinion is you should ignore everything else but this, Asian Taste Thai Restaurant is the hidden gem foodies crave. Authentic food excellently prepared.

  • Food was amazing. Gluten free and vegan options available. Food was impressive and the presentation was nice. Got items to go and it was still hot 15 minutes later when I got to a relatives house to eat. Food was so great, came back that evening for more. I had the basil fried rice with veggies and tofu. Also order yellow curry...finger lickin' good! My mother had the crab rangoon, veggies egg rolls and another relative had a shrimp and chicken entree (can not think of the name) which looked amazing. Sorry that I didn't get a picture of its glory. Coming from the west coast, this was authentic Thai cuisine flavor and we enjoyed every bite. Will definitely recommend to anyone. Will also be a staple if I visit Lincoln again in the future.

  • So good!! I always get the same thing mild chicken fried rice with extra chicken and crab Rangoon. I love it! Food is always freshly prepared and flavorful. I also always order online and carry out. Occasionally have to wait a couple minutes for someone to come out from the kitchen and there is a bell on the counter as well. Staff has always been friendly.

  • Pad Thai is bland, but samosas are obviously homemade and delicious. Fried rice is very good and so is pad see yew. Bubble tea is adequate, but the Thai Tea is one of the best I've had. Food is super fast and prices are good
